Release 006

The sixth monthly release of drift cards, part of our Hawaii Drift Card Study, was done on May 19, 2003. The following stick plot shows the wind conditions for the 8 days from May 19-26, 2003.

Similar to the wind conditions following Release 005 in April, the winds following Release 006 were quite consistently from the NE to E (50-90°), particularly over the first 6 days. On the days following many of our other releases, winds were quite variable in both direction and strength.
